Ron Washington - President and CEO
Ron formed the company in November 1996 and serves as a full-time leader of one of the most dynamic and effective collection firms in the industry. Ron has accumulated more than 27 years of collection agency experience. He coordinates the company’s marketing and sales efforts. Working in conjunction with the Board of Directors, Ron directs and coordinates the strategic vision, marketing, and corporate activities of the firm. Ron is committed to offering learning institutions excellent recovery performance combined with superior customer service. His character, philosophy, and dedication to this industry contributes to the wonderful reputation of his organization. Ron has a Bachelors of Arts degree in Business law and Criminal Justice from Chadron State College, Nebraska. |

Joyce Morgan - Vice President
Joyce has been with JM Associates since it began operations in 1996. She has more than 26 years of collection agency experience, 23 of which have been dedicated to the student loan collection industry. Joyce is responsible for management and direction of all operational functions within the clerical, client liaison, human relations, bookkeeping, and payroll departments. She possesses extensive knowledge of all federal regulations at the administrative and third-party servicer levels. Joyce monitors and has created the Agency’s compliance, internal policies, bookkeeping department, human resources, and institutional client trust bank accounts. The knowledge she possesses in managing a student loan agency is key to JM Associates’ success and tenure in the industry. She is the catalyst that drives JM Associates’ ability to provide exemplary customer service to all clients. |

Drew Tyrrell - Executive Director of Operations
Drew joined JM Associates in October 1998 as a full-time employee. He served as a frontline supervisor, acting as a coach and mentor for the collection staff before he was promoted to Legal Department Manager, Director of Collections, and finally the Executive Director of Operations, leading and directing five managers and 30+ Recovery Specialists as well as the in-house team of Legal Specialists. Drew oversees the hiring, training and development of the entire Student Loan Department staff. He makes court appearances for trials and other court motions, acts as the Agency’s expert witness, and corresponds with the Agency’s attorney firm. Drew is an integral member of JM Associates’ Default Prevent and Aversion Program designed to work closely with university and college representatives to facilitate and improve internal collection policies and procedures. He is also available to conduct seminars and meetings to promote the interests of the institution’s collection policies and default management plan. Drew also serves as JM Associates’ Business Communications Coordinator in which he prepares formal writing projects and directs the Agency’s conflict resolution initiatives including borrower disputes. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Californa State University, San Bernardino. |

Edgar Garrobo - Information Technology Systems Director
Since March of 2008, Edgar has managed the information systems for JM Associates. Edgar has 7 years of experience in the management of data center and information systems. He is responsible for being aware of state and federal regulations for the protection and security of private consumer information. Edgar obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Technology and Operations Management from Californa State Polytechnic University, Pomona. |

Rebecca Nelson - Human Resources Director
Rebecca joined JM Associates’ team in October 2004. Her extensive experience in the Human Resource field includes over 12 years of professional experience as a Human Resource Director. She oversees JM Associates’ staff ensuring all internal company policies, federal, state, and local personnel compliance laws are strictly upheld. In addition, she plans, directs and carries out policies related to all phases of personnel activity and relies on her experience and judgment to plan and accomplish the goals of the organization. Protecting the confidentiality and security of personal information and data is key to her position at JM Associates. Rebecca holds a degree in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego. |

Julius Washington - Marketing Representative
Julius joined JM Associates in June of 1998 and has continually contributed to a Marketing Department that is dedicated to not only servicing existing clients but also creating new and lasting relationships with colleges and universities nationwide. Over the course of his employment with JM Associates Julius has gained valuable experience in most departments. His experience with hiring of student loan collectors, managing client relationships within the Liaison Department, contributing to the payroll system with the Finance Department, regulating JMA work standards on collections accounts, assuring complete licensing and bonding, developing marketing strategies, as well as overall company productivity are just a few of the many duties that he regularly participates in. Julius also currently sits on the CCULAA Committee that plans and establishes student loan collection workshops and conferences here in California throughout the year. Julius continues to help set the standard for excellence at JM Associates. |

Jason Washington - Marketing Representative
Jason Washington’s foundation in client satisfaction and finances started with his position at Bank of America as a customer service professional and then as a personal banker, allowing him the opportunity to grow tremendously before joining JM Associates’ team. Jason has worked in multiple facets of supervisory and lead roles at JM Associates, including heading the Credit Union, Credit Card Collection, and Training and Development Departments. He has set high standards for himself at JM Associates that he has repeatedly surpassed and continues to perform at a high level within the organization, including graduating from JM Associates’ Management Training Program as a top performer. Mr. Washington is currently working within the Marketing Department servicing existing client’s needs and establishing new partnerships with colleges and universities across the country. The utmost care to customer service and client satisfaction is key to his continued success in this position. Jason is also a minister who enjoys engaging in the volunteer field ministry work, giving him a balanced viewpoint in any situation. |

Scott Shimano - Legal Manager
Scott joined JM Associates in September 2005 as a full-time employee. He served as a frontline supervisor, acting as a coach and mentor for the collection staff before he was promoted to Legal Department Manager. Scott now oversees and coordinates the activities of the Legal Department where he is responsible for handling all assigned judgments, new litigation activity, and responding to questions and requests from clients regarding the pursuit of judicial remedies. Additionally, Scott is the Lead Unit Supervisor, directing and mentoring the growth of the Agency’s Unit Supervisors as well as all Recovery Specialists. |

Patrick Walsh - Training Manager
Patrick joined JM Associates in January 2002 as a Recovery Specialist and quickly became one of the most successful producers in the history of the Agency. His ability to train and develop new and existing employees has greatly contributed to the growth of operations. Patrick is also available to speak at various seminars and conferences related to the student loan and receivables industry where he has proven to be an asset to current and future clients. Patrick is clearly an integral member of the Agency’s management team. |
